Description

This position is located at the Beaumont, Texas site. The Beaumont site has produced quality herbicides and other
chemical products that help to feed the world. We are a key manufacturing site in the Corporation's Agricultural Products
Division. Plant operations consist of 3 active ingredient production facilities and a utilities department.

This position supports the Company by providing Automation Engineering expertise for maintenance and projects.

Responsibilities: Assigns and keeps record of I/O points Assist with maintaining all required documentation for SIS system Perform advanced control and graphic configuration on systems Program DCS, PLC’s, HMI’s Works with other Senior Control Systems Engineer to increase standardization of process control Provides technical expertise for other systems and communications protocols used onsite such as Modbus, OPC communications systems, wireless communications, etc. Help with trouble shooting (DCS, PLC, computer issues, networking, HMI’s. Facilitate and/or coordinate root cause failure analysis on significant failures. Implement Corrective Actions for control system issues. Help update and maintain the technical documentation for Control Systems (DCS, PLC and SIS). Ensures all systems are in compliance with corporate standards. Act as the cyber security manager for the site DCS network Participate into the development of long the long term site Automation strategy Supports the development of site Capital Projects, maintenance project or central Engineering projects Provides engineering technical support during all phases of project execution. (design, construction, commissioning and startup) Recommend alternate scope or alternate instrument design or controls solutions when applicable Reviews, validates/challenges, and provides constructive feedback on new and revised Technical Standards a Help with standardization and Quality of all configurations. Help operation group to formulate narratives to define control strategies Implement feed forward control strategies (Advanced controls) Collaborates with operation, maintenance, construction personnel, and vendors to provide technical assistance, support, and guidance in solving problems and implementing improvements at the site.

or equivalent

Education: Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Instrumentation preferable) with an understanding of the Chemical Industry Automation
Experience: A minimum of 6 years combined work experience in the chemical industry with emphasis on control systems Strong technical knowledge in Process Controls, networking, security, MES applications and control systems Proficiency in DCS, MES, Automation Security, and networking Proficiency with Honeywell control systems (Experion, C300, TDC3000) and Aspen IP21 Historian Proficient in Control Language (HPM CL) programming and Sequential control module (SCM) Having demonstrated work experience in identifying and resolving control system and field instrumentation issues in the Chemicals, Understand HART communication and field device manage Strong computer skills The ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner is the prerequisite for successful interpersonal relationship. The desire to manage others and a concern for people success is a pre-requisite. The ability to collaborate with key stakeholder is essential to the success of this position.
