Oilfield service company has openings for Hydrocarbon Well Logging Technicians, or "Mud" loggers. This position may be entry-level for the right candidate. Candidate must be comfortable in a laboratory setting, and must be willing to work 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week for the duration of the drilling process. Drilling operations can last from one week to several months, with an average of approximately three weeks. This job is not for everyone; the candidate must be able-bodied, have a good understanding of scientific concepts, and possess mathematic ability and computer skills, including the MS Office suite. Hours are long, and training can be difficult, but the field is rewarding. Pay is based on a 7 day work week. A summary of what we do:1. Oil and gas well monitoring 2. Data acquisition and entry3. Analysis of rock cuttings through laboratory work4. Consult Geologists and supply critical information to the Drilling Supervisor5. Generate Hydrocarbon Well Logs Location: Texas/Louisiana Compensation: Logger pay is a day rate starting at $155.00 going up with experience + bonusesPrincipals only.
