building products and installation services to the multi and single-family housing markets.   Its historical focus on the multi-family market has positioned it for aggressive growth with the current strong trends in that segment.  The company is also furthering diversification into single-family housing, which it sees as a rebounding segment in the next business cycle.   The company goes to market through a variety of channels, including developers, general contractors and company stores.  The company has deployed a direct sales force, representatives, and retail locations to support its key market channels.  The company is creating the CFO position in response to rapid growth and the need to expand its capabilities and capacity in both the financial and operating-support arenas.  With the rapid growth environment, the lean nature of company’s infrastructure, and this position being newly created, the company believes this position will be highly challenging and highly rewarding for the “right” individual.  KEY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROLE•           Reporting to the President/CEO•           Leading the Finance and Accounting organization and additional groups, which includes management of Accounting, A/P, A/R, IT, Contract Management, HR and Materials/Purchasing•           Controller will report to this role•           Expected to provide significant executive level input, leadership and support both within the Finance and Accounting organizations and to the company at large•           Expected to be a key senior support role to the CEO across the spectrum of the business•           In addition to traditional F&A accountabilities, will be expected to lead broad-based efforts and projects aimed at improving and integrating processes and tools across all business functions•           Will integrate regularly and manage relationships with external parties such as Capital Partners, Board of Directors, Auditors, and other external service providers    REQUIREMENTS: INTANGIBLES•           Comfort working in a highly entrepreneurial, high growth environment•           Ability to shift from working at a very strategic level to a very tactical level (and all points in between) on a daily basis.  Must be comfortable being both leader and “doer”.•           Sense of urgency and “fire in the belly” an absolute “must”•           Must have ability to creatively develop solutions by working effectively to motivate cross-functional staff of all levels of capability and experience•           Must have very strong analytical capabilities•           Attitude of unfaltering accountability and ownership of results  REQUIREMENTS:  KEY CAPABILITIES•           Proven ability to manage the F&A organization and expanded scope outlined in a cost-accounting, manufacturing environment•           In addition to ongoing maintenance and reporting across F&A and related scope, need to have proven history developing new processes, tools, structure, measurement systems, analytical systems, reporting capabilities, across the organization•           Deep skills and experience with ERP systems and “ancillary” reporting and decision-support applications such as Excel modeling and building of secondary data systems with analytical tools (e.g., mirrored tables in SQL with Access front end)•           Proven experience in leading efforts for ERP implementations or significant upgrades•           Multiple points of experience leading F&A function in a stand-alone business responsible for managing cash and liquidity in an environment with significant working capital requirements  REQUIREMENTS:  EXPERIENCE•           15-20 years of progressive financial management experience including mid-career experience as a Plant Controller•           3-5 years of experience in a senior financial management position such as CFO or VP of Finance in a manufacturing company•           Multiple years of direct management accountability in an environment where the company is directly responsible for cash/liquidity and capital•           Multi-year responsibility of working with supplier base•       Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems in manufacturing environments•           Proven track record of strategic and proactive financial advisor to the CEO or other senior officer•           Keenly aware of the financial and operational levers that support improved cash-flow and EBITDA  REQUIREMENTS:  EDUCATION•           B.S. in Accounting, Business, or Engineering or related field required•           CPA and/or MBA desired but not necessarily required  COMPENSATION MODEL•           $140,000 fixed salary•           Success-based variable compensation 35% of fixed
