If you are seeking an opportunity to make a difference and escape being just another engineer, The Brannon Corporation currently has positions available for the right Professional Engineers.Position Overview Project Engineers are responsible for designing buildings, roads, municipal structures, airports, sewage systems, sports and aquatic facilities. Examines area to determine best routes and considers factors such as weather, erosion, governmental regulations, and environmental hazards. Builds customer relations, manages accounts, and meets with project owners and leaders. Provides training and development to Engineers-in-Training and interns relating to career progression. Travels to project locations as required or needed. Must be team oriented and able to work independently. Must be proficient in using computer-aided design software application such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and excellent Microsoft Office skills.Essential Job FunctionsPrepare construction plans for Airports and Municipal, Commercial and Residential Development related engineering projects including:General Aviation Knowledge; Runway/Taxiway Lighting; Rotating Beacon Design;FAA Design Standard; TxDot Specifications; Aviation Signage; Construction Administration; Airport Pavement Sections; Construction Administration; Zoning Ordinance; Inspections; Roads; Bridges; Water Systems; Recreational Facilities; Buildings Subdivisions; Paving; Land Planning; Infrastructure Engineering; Surveying; Feasibility Studies; Environmental ConstraintsCritical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusion, or approaches to problemsSystem Analysis -- Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomesConduct site visits, collect data, evaluate conditions and develop solutions to problemsComputer skills: proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPointPrepare bid documents and bid proposals for projectsSpeaking, writing and reading comprehension: must be able to talk with others and effectively communicate information; communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the need of the audience; and understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documentsRepresent The Brannon Corporation with prospects and clientsRequirementsBachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil)Licensed in Texas or capable of licensure within 12 monthsHave reliable transportation and free to travelTexas Driver's License; safe driving recordCurrent Passport or the ability to obtain a passportAbility to work independently and as a team Self-motivatedNeat, professional appearanceHigh level of organizational skillsBenefits and compensation• Salary Commensurate with qualifications and experience• Medical and Disability Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, paid time-off, retirement plans and other benefits.Send Resumes, Cover Letter and References to: Jimmy PetersonDirector, Business DevelopmentP.
