We are searching for bright talented people who want to make a difference in healthcare the healthcare industry.The Support Specialist provides technical support to remote users of proprietary and Windows based software applications and solutions and takes ownership of assigned issues as single point of contact for customer and is responsible for issues from assignment through to resolution.The successful candidate is:* Willing and able to learn* Customer oriented and has a desire to impress customers with and eagerness to help, teach and inform* Self-motivated, organized and used time effectivelyResponsibilities:* Act as single point of contact for customer technical support issues.* Research and resolve all technical support issues received from customers.* Prioritize customer issues properly and communicate updates to customers as appropriate. Use good judgment to determine problems that may need escalation.* Provide detailed documentation of activities, correspondence and resolution through trouble ticket systems. * Performs remote software installations at client sites* Conducts server validation in preparation for software installations* Conducts software quality assurance testing before customer sign off* Assist with 24/7 on call * Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Required knowledge, skills and abilities:* Familiar with customer relations software. * Intermediate experience with MS Access and MS Excel.* Comfortable working with remote computer management tools (PC Anywhere, Remote Desktop Protocol, VNC, etc.).* Experience with escalating issues.* Experience communicating accurately verbally and in writing.* Familiar with Active Directory (Windows Accounts).* Good analytical and organizational skills and able to work accurately.* Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. * Understanding of database concepts.* Skills in building team and customer relationships.Desired, but not required:* Associate degree in the field of information technology or in a related field or 2-4 years of related work experience.* Basic experience with ODBC. * Basic experience with SQL Server. * Intermediate experience with software development tools (VB Script, C#, VB.NET or similar products). * Familiar with interface communication protocols (XML, HL7, TCP/IP).* Basic experience with Crystal Reports* Employee will be located in our Lewisville, TX office* Criminal background check required(calls by recruiters/agencies will not be returned) Location: Lewisville, TX Compensation: 30k-45k plus an excellent benefits packagePrincipals only.
