THE ORGANIZATION: Leading Educators develops teacher-leaders in order to raise student achievement and retain talented educators in high-need schools. We aim to ensure that public education successfully trains its middle managers, thus retaining our best teachers and bolstering the pipeline of future principals.Our flagship program is a two-year Fellowship program where teacher-leaders engage in frequent leadership development sessions, and strengthen their ability to coach and provide feedback to other teachers. Results from the 2011--2012 school year show that students of teams led by New Orleans Fellows grew 12 times more than their counterparts across the district while students of teams led by Kansas City Fellows grew 5 times more than their counterparts across the district.Leading Educators also offers Strategic Support Initiatives (SSI), customized teacher leadership development consulting to districts, charter management organizations (CMOs), and non-profit organizations. This contract-based work may include delivery of training modules; teacher leader recruitment, selection, and retention consulting; train-the-trainer projects; and evaluation consulting. For example, this year Leading Educators partnered with Houston Independent School District to implement a Teacher-Leader Pathways pilot for over 60 teacher-leaders across 20 schools.Leading Educators has trained over 160 teacher-leaders in programs in New Orleans, Kansas City, and Houston, and is currently launching programming in Washington, D.C. Building on success in these regions, Leading Educators is assembling an ambitious team to expand the program nationally. The work is fast-paced and entrepreneurial; the expansion model aims to serve 12 regions by 2016. THE POSITION:The Systems Manager will manage Salesforce, Leading Educators' customer relationship management (CRM) platform, and the functionality, integration, and ongoing improvements of other content and information management systems. This cross-functional role acts as the key interface between the Leading Educators staff, external developers, and Fellows in the ongoing development and management of content and information management systems. This role will assume the following responsibilities:Salesforce System Design and Management• Manage ongoing administration and configuration of Salesforce database platform to ensure data integrity and business rule compliance across the organization • Identify, implement, and launch application customizations and incremental updates• Work directly with external developers to create add-on applications that integrate with and are hosted from the Salesforce application platform • Develop customized reports, dashboards, and data applications to track analytics as requested by program and regional teams• Control/manage operational budget and expenditures of systems• Manage license purchasing and provide related budget forecasting for all Salesforce license types, staff, and portal• Liaise with Salesforce support team to resolve issues as needed• Troubleshoot and provide technical support to Fellows, staff, and consultants• Develop training materials and webinars, and train staff, consultants, and Fellows on new and existing Salesforce features • Liaise with team members to coordinate application updates, communications, training, and support• Assess information systems results by auditing system usage and performance, user understandingSystems Management• Manage document sharing accounts including GoogleDrive, DropBox, and Vimeo • Manage web-conference accounts including GoTo Meeting, Adobe Connect, and other services as needed• Train new staff and troubleshoot end-user technology issues• Support the Operations team in escalated technology issues• Assess information systems results by auditing system usage and performance, user understandingSystem Continuous Improvements• Research and propose methods for users to effectively engage with program technology• Evaluate the organization's technology use and needs to recommend system improvements, hardware and software upgrades, and related budget estimates that include initial costs and maintenance, and insurance as required• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum BA/BS or higher, BS in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred• 5 plus years related experience in the programming (coding) and development environments of Salesforce.com, Google Analytics, and other major CRM and analytics tools• Experience with Force.com Platform (Apex, API, Visualforce), DHTML, CSS, Active Scripting technologies • Systems integration experience • Proven record of excellence and skill in providing customer service and support for end user technology needs• Strong project management skills• Ability to provide technical translation of systems and related communications and workflows for general, non-technical audience • Experience managing both vendor and contractor resources to assure the successful completion of projects both short and long term• Experience with quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and related scripting and bug reporting procedures• Knowledge of survey integration, delivery, and related question development• Outstanding technical and software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills• Ability to manage multiple projects and ambitious deadlines simultaneously• Familiarity with project management services, web-conference and document sharing systems QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS, PLEASE APPLY: Please complete an online application here: http://www.clicktools.com/survey?iv=1ucixicfg1x87Leading Educators is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or natural origin.
