Application forms can be found at http://new.nola.gov/civil-service/jobs/applying/KIND OF WORK:Professional, supervisory administrative advanced level work coordinating the Economically Disadvantage Business Program at the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans; and related work as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:(Original Entrance)1) Bachelor's Degree in from an accredited college or university. Official college transcript or original college diploma must be presented within two (2) weeks of application. 2) Five (5) years of responsible professional administrative experience in contract procurement or purchasing. This experience must have been at an exempt (salaried) level and must have included working with laws/policies regarding either Disadvantage Business Enterprise (D.B.E.) programs, Women's Business Enterprise (W.B.E.) programs, or Minority Business Enterprise (M.B.E.) programs. At least two (2) years of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity over other employees performing contract procurement or purchasing. (Promotional) 1) Bachelor's Degree in from an accredited college or university. Official college transcript or original college diploma must be presented within (2) weeks of application.2) Permanent status with the Sewerage and Water Board. 3) Five (5) years of responsible professional administrative experience in contract procurement or purchasing. This experience must have been at pay grade 77 or higher and must have included working with laws/policies regarding either Disadvantage Business Enterprise (D.B.E.) programs, Women's Business Enterprise (W.B.E.) programs, or Minority Business Enterprise (M.B.E.) programs. At least two (2) years of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity over other employees performing contract procurement or purchasing.Professional experience is experience gained after the receipt of a Bachelor's degree. Official college transcript or original college diploma must be presented within (2) weeks of application.A Special Work History Form must be completed and returned to Civil Service within two weeks of application. This position requires a one year probationary period. KIND OF EXAMINATION:A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. Credit will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years. Additional credit will be granted for candidates in possession of a Master's Degree or higher in Public Administration or a closely related field. Civil Service reserves the right to determine which fields are closely related.
