Who We Are Looking For:We are looking for a 3D guru who is ready to work on ground-breaking projects in an exciting city. If we do our jobs well together, it will push the photoreal quality of 3D models to the next level and impact the millions of people that come to TurboSquid. TurboSquid does a significant volume of 3D modeling and rendering through our Custom 3D program, and has significant needs around our CheckMate certification program. You will also be working in the heart of several other next generation (but unannounced) innovations, where your experience and brainpower are crucial.About TurboSquid:TurboSquid is the world's source for professional 3D models. Thousands of artists supply our membership of millions with 3D models in transactions that all take place online. The company was founded in the year 2000, and is now a staff of 85 people, which keeps it small enough to be nimble, but large enough to have significant resources to innovate.Job Description and Responsibilities:The Technical Artist will be helping with the efficiency and innovation of our production pipeline, and will provide critical direction and support to artists inside and outside of TurboSquid, as well as to the TurboSquid management team. You will help identify, design, develop, and implement new tools and processes to achieve these goals, with access to software engineering resources. As needed, you may also be asked to help other artists troubleshoot their scene files, quality level and rendered output.More on Your Background:• Battle scars from significant production experience in the 3D industry that you will enjoy saving others from• Experience working with a completely photoreal pipeline with 3ds Max and VRay, including personal skills in modeling, UV/texturing, lighting and rendering. • Sound computer science knowledge and familiarity with scripting languages including MaxScript, JavaScript, and Python• An enjoyment of teaching and sharing knowledge with the team• Ability to work between artistic and technical groupsPlease apply by sending your resume, cover letter, and anything else you'd like to send with the subject line "Technical Artist".
