They review and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines and they assist with the production of School Accountability Report Cards.Duties and Responsibilities: Read original material or proof against copy and correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, or format. Review materials and make recommendations in order to ensure compliance with SARC (School Accountability Report Card) requirements Mark corrections on copy or proofs using standard proofreader marks. Compare information or figures on one record against same data on other records or original copy to detect errors. Refer to Strunk and White "The Elements of Style, fourth edition" for rules of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Adhere to requirement for making objective, not subjective, changes. Measure size, spacing, and positioning on the page to verify agreement with rules. Read corrected copies or proofs for errors and style. May read from and correct copy on computer monitor. Keep abreast of constantly changing state guidelines and company policies. Assist with the development of any necessary production standards and measurements. Participate in regular team meetings to ensure an open line of communication. Participate in SARC planning meetings to ensure that every opportunity is found to make the quality of the product and the process better. Interpret State data and requirements. Compile and edit School Accountability Report Cards. Maintain, update and edit all SARC Templates and style guide, as needed, to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance. Anticipate and identify potential client and SARC Production concerns, and take action to ensure resolution. Become a subject matter expert and be utilized as a resource. Maintain SARC Track. Assesse and make recommendations for training needs within the SARC department. Coordinate with IT Department on any technical issues that arise. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:We are seeking candidates who have the following qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism or similar field or equivalent experience. Expert proofreading skills. Expert knowledge of Strunk and White, "The Elements of Style, fourth edition". In-depth graphic design, printing, editing, and publishing knowledge. Excellent analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail. Very high degree of accuracy. Proficiency in Publisher and/or InDesign, Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly. Ability to work effectively under time restraints. Effective oral and written communication skills with internal and external clients. Ability to project a positive, helpful attitude while being an active listener. Ability to work cooperatively and establish positive cross-functional relationships within the organization.To Apply:Please send resume and cover letter to the HR Department via fax, email or mail.Fax: 916.669.0847Email: hria-us.comAddress: 5200 Golden Foothill ParkwayEl Dorado Hills, CA 95762Position DescriptionTri-Dim Filter Corporation, headquartered in Louisa, Virginia, is a leading manufacturing company in the clean air industry. We have an immediate opening in Louisa, Virginia for a Payroll Specialist.Description:The Payroll Specialist is an essential part of the Human Resources department and is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 500 employees in a multistate environment. This position is also responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance and audit of employee data within ADP (HRB, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Recruitment & Staffing and Reporting). The Payroll Specialist, in consultation with the Director of Human Resources is also responsible for assuring compliance with company policies and government regulations related to the appropriate handling of time and attendance, labor and affirmative action reporting and compliance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Responsible for accurate and timely weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP.• Oversee Time & Attendance employee timesheets to ensure correct interface to the payroll system.• First point of contact for employees regarding payroll and time and attendance queries. Provide customer focused interaction with company employees via telephone, email and in person.• Research and resolve payroll queries in a timely manner including the processing of manual checks as necessary.• Perform accurate mathematical computations using a calculator or computer.• Accurately process and maintain employee information within the ADP system to include data entry of all personnel transactions, changes and updates, benefit deductions and wage garnishments.• Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports and conduct audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy.• Complete verification of employment requests.• Assist with quarterly and year-end processing including reviews of W2 tax statements.• Create and produce payroll and management reports using ADP Custom Reporting.• Main point of contact for Manager and Employee ADP assistance and training.• Maintain tracking of FMLA leave of absences.• Gather and report data for various surveys in support of payroll activities.• Serve as the backup for processing company benefits and reconciliation of benefit invoices.• Perform other HR support duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:• Strong knowledge of ADP including: HRB, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Recruitment & Staffing and Custom Reporting.• A minimum of 3 years experience in payroll.• Experience processing payroll for a manufacturing and/or union environment preferred.• Solid understanding and experience applying Federal and State labor payroll laws.• Knowledge of prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting.• Strong written and verbal communication skills required, including the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.• Strong background in MS Office, primarily Excel, Word and Outlook.• Exceptional analytical, organization and time management skills.• Ability to take initiative, work independently as well as within a team environment.• Ability to maintain motivation and energy from start to completion of projects.• Strong organizational/time management skills with the ability to prioritize while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.• Ability to consistently meet deadlines.• Excellent attention to detail and understanding of confidentiality and privacy issues essential.• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.• Ability to work and communicate within a team environment• PHR certification a plus.Tri-Dim Filter Corporation supports Affirmative Action and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
