NHS Human ServicesMental Health CounselorJob Description:NHS Human Services is looking for a licensed Mental Health Professional/Counselor in its Monroe, LA facility to provide comprehensive services as part of the Assertive Community Treatment Team. The Mental Health Professional is qualified in a mental profession, and possesses the clinical skills and experience to assess, plan, develop, coordinate and provide treatment, rehabilitation and support services to program individuals with severe and persistent mental illness under the clinical supervision of the team leader and psychiatrist. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide individual and group therapy, choosing applicable modalities according to individual needs and treatment plan. Provide mini treatment team leadership. Develops treatment plans. Provide recovery based, person centered services. Develop comprehensive goal plans in conjunction with individuals and family members. Monitor record-keeping, insure that client charts are up-to-date and include all necessary documentation. Insure timeliness and quality of treatment plans and develop progress notes. Coordinate resources and information pertinent to client needs. Develop, write, implement, evaluate and revise, as necessary, individual's treatment plans in collaboration with the Treatment Team. Qualifications: Master's degree in Human Services related field; AND 1 year of clinical experience working with adults with severe mental illness. License required - LPC, LCSW. Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system. Must have appropriate state and federal clearances. Must hold valid driver's license and have access to an automobile during working hours. This is a full-time, benefited position. Rate of pay is based on experience - up to $48k annually. Hours of work are primarily day shift - will include shared rotation by team members of late shift and weekend hours, plus on-call duties - split by team members. On-call stipends are paid in addition to regular pay.
