MANAGER IN TRAINING Hastings Managers in Training are responsible for assisting with the management of the store by supervising and executing corporate plans and actions, creating a positive team atmosphere, and understanding the needs and habits of customers. We are seeking an individual that is action oriented, approachable, and has a customer focus. Key Responsibilities: Maintain Sales to Plan for store Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations to achieve targeted productivity, sales, and profitability goals Assist the Store Manager in providing overall direction for the staff in terms of training and performance tracking Maintain awareness of competitors and their promotions and offerings Oversee store personnel and ensure all corporate policies and procedures are followed Ensure associates keep stores clean, well organized, and properly merchandised This is a Store Manager-in-training position DEPARTMENT MANAGER Hastings Department Managers are responsible for managing the department by supervising and executing corporate plans and actions as well as creating a positive team atmosphere, and increasing sales by recognizing and understanding the needs and habits of customers. Key Responsibilities: Welcome and connect with every customer and help influence purchasing decisions Continually grow knowledge of products and customers Maintain awareness of industry trends Comply with standards for merchandising and stocking department product Maintain the highest standards of conduct and confidentiality Look for new training opportunities and take advantage of new training tools CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE Hastings Customer Service Associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, offering assistance, offering advice on purchase decisions, and providing a clean and safe store environment for associates and customers. Key Responsibilities: Greet and connect with every customer and help influence purchasing decisions Continually grow knowledge of products and customers Comply with standards for merchandising and stocking front of store and department product Maintain the highest standards of conduct and confidentiality Follow proper register/cash handling policies and procedures and conduct a successful cash audit upon the completion of each shift Takes advantage of new training opportunities and tools
