MLS Tank SuperintendentSummary: Supervises and coordinates a crew of various craft skills (ie welders, crane operators, structural fitters, laborers, etc.) and will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the field erection of aboveground storage tanks, including new construction and repairs for the petrochemical, chemical and refinery industry.Key Responsibilities / Essential FunctionsManage construction projects and report to the Construction ManagerOversee tank construction activities to ensure compliance with construction schedules, drawings, job specifications and proceduresMonitor labor costs, supplies and materials are received, used and charged appropriatelyAbility to read a properly interpret Engineering construction drawingsMust be able to complete quality control paper work accuratelyFollow all safety rules, recognize and report safety hazardsAnalyzes and resolves work related problemsJob RequirementsTank SuperintendentMinimum Requirements: The individual in this role will be responsible for job planning and execution and ensure customer satisfaction.He/she will handle all manpower for assigned jobs (man hours, payroll, expenditures, and quality at the jobsite).Also, the individual will be responsible for all supplies (use, maintenance, and condition of) under his/her control, job expenditures, and expense accounts throughout the job.The individual will assume responsibility for all safety on the jobsite by performing a daily job safety analysis and enforcing all MLS Tank . Policies and procedures.Must obtain a High School Diploma and or its equivalency with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.Possess the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions and demonstrate characteristics of strong work ethics, competent and selfmotivated.Additional RequirementsLegally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be able to understand, read, write and speak EnglishMust pass preemployment physical, safety training, background and drug and alcohol screen.
