For more information about EBI and open positions please visit our website at www.ebiconsulting.com.Position Description:We are currently looking for an individual with a diversified skill set and experience in high level property condition assessments to become a member of EBI's equity assessment team. In this role, you will assist with the management of equity projects. You will be responsible for the timely completion of assignments and the associated due diligence reports for commercial real estate transactions. Successful candidates will demonstrate professional experience with building design, materials, structure and construction, and be familiar with a variety of commercial and income-producing building types, as well as having access to sub-contracting resources when necessary. The PCA Consultant will be the "quarterback"of equity contractors and oversee MEP, roofing, elevator, structural, and façade work, among others. Seismic experience, as well as experience with business development and proposal generation is a plus. The candidate will have 8-20 years experience conducting projects and assessing a diverse number of properties in accordance with ASTM E2018-08, and more complex Scopes of Work. In addition, expertise in evaluating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, life safety and elevator components (MEP), assessing their condition, and estimating costs to repair, refurbish or replace the components or systems is desirable. Experience with energy audits, "green" building solutions, new systems technologies, estimating potential operational cost savings, and experience designing systems is not necessary, though helpful. Candidate Requirements:The successful candidate must be:• extremely competent in Word, Excel, Outlook and other software programs• be well organized• have excellent time management skills • be self-motivated and a self starter • have excellent communication and technical report writing skills• experience with proposal generation, business development and client management skills is a plus. EBI employees perform these assessments within the central and western United States while working from a home or regional office. This position will require travel primarily throughout the region, as well as occasional trips throughout the US in an effort to support national needs. The position typically involves approximately 40% field time and 60% office time. Successful candidates should have a bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering and at least 8 years experience.
